Tuesday 2nd July 2013 ~ Our first inspection by Debbie the Bee Inspector

No photo for the visit today as Debbie is far too efficient and quick not to mention busy so this note is just to record the fact that we had our first inspection today. The day was mild and overcast and the bees were happy but a little lively.

We seem to have a healthy colony with just a tiny hint of chalk or sac brood; we should leave those cells alone and the larvae will dry out and be disposed of. Luckily, given the area in which we live, we have no sign of European Foul Brood. Phew!

Thanks to Debbie for checking them out and reassuring me that things are looking good.
