Saturday 6th July 2013 ~ Hive Inspection

A Hot Hive Inspection

A busier looking super
This was between a third and a half full of nectar

Queen excluder with a little build up of bur comb

We now have activity on 5 + frames

Frame 3a which we turned on Tuesday at the end of Debbie's inspection

Frame 3b, not sure what the fuzzy bits are, either sunlight or mucky lens
This had been all cleaned out, the bees are busy here.

Frame 4a very full of capped brood

Frame 4b

Frame 5a

Frame 5b

Frame 6a

Frame 6b

Frame 7a

Frame 7b

Frame 8a and here's the queen she really likes this mucky old frame that we are trying to move to the edge and get rid of!!!

Queenie!

Frames 8 and 9 swapped today so Frame 8 now is a very sparse frame of drawn comb
hope the girls can work out what we are trying to do with their accommodation!

I rubbed out this much in excess bur comb and play cups in the making today
